September 22nd, 2026 The New Zealand Association of Plastic Surgeons, Te Kāhui Whakamōhou Kiri (NZAPS/TKWK), is pleased to announce the election of Mr. Marcus Bisson as NZAPS President. Marcus commenced his term as President on Saturday 22 August 2026. Marcus brings strong leadership experience to the role, having previously served as Clinical Head of Department of the Plastic Surgery Unit at Hutt Hospital. He also previously served on the NZAPS/TKWK Council from 2012 to 2018, bringing valuable experience and knowledge of the Association to his new role. NZAPS/TKWK would like to sincerely thank Associate Professor Michelle Locke for her leadership, commitment, and dedication to the Association during her term as President. NZAPS/TKWK Council is delighted that Michelle has agreed to continue serving on Council for a further year in the role of Past President, ensuring continuity of leadership and supporting the ongoing work of the Association.
