The SET Induction Conference is mandatory for trainees in their first year of clinical training. The conference focuses on foundational skills such as microsurgery and includes exposure to hand surgery and CMF surgery techniques.
We are pleased to invite the 2024 intake of trainees to the 2024 SET Induction Conference, to be held 6-9 February in Brisbane. Attendance is mandatory for 1st Year SET trainees.
The program commences with a cadaveric dissection workshop focusing on exposures in hand, wrist and craniomaxillofacial surgery. Microsurgical principles and practice are covered over the first two days. Day 3 features lecturers covering a range of topics and a Sawbone workshop covering fixation principles in the hand and craniomaxillofacial skeletons. The final day equips trainees with a Research Toolkit to negotiate academic tasks throughout training.
The program will commence at 7:30am on Tuesday 6th February and conclude at 4pm on Friday 9th February. There will be a welcome reception on Tuesday evening and a conference dinner on Thursday evening. Busses will depart the Stamford Plaza Brisbane daily for transportation to the various training venues. More details to follow in the coming months.
