NZ Board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
Supervision of the Surgical Education and Training (SET) programme for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (PRS) is the responsibility of the New Zealand Board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (the Board). The Board is a committee of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons which consists of the following members: the President of NZAPS, Chair, Deputy Chair, Senior Examiner, Specialty Elected Councillor, Supervisors of Training, Trainee Representative and RACS appointed Community representative. Supervisors of Training are appointed by the College on the advice of the Board and the respective training unit. This is an official position with defined training duties. Trainees appoint a trainee to act as a representative who attends the Board meetings. The Board is responsible for the day-to-day administration of SET in PRS. The Board carries out the following responsibilities through the NZAPS office.
